Physical Installation & Safety

Step 1: Choose the Right Location
Mount on a GFCI-protected outdoor outlet under an overhang, 2 ft above grade and inside 2.4 GHz coverage.

Step 2: Mount the Plug
Hook the keyhole slot over the supplied screw and anchor so the receptacles face down.

Step 3: Connect the Load
Plug the two loads into the left and right outlets and keep their combined draw within 15 A.

Step 4: Verify Power and Control
Rename both channels in the app, then test each outlet on its own schedule.

Step 1: Prepare the Phone and Network
Install the Minoston app, sign in, keep the phone on a 2.4 GHz network and switch Bluetooth on.

Step 2: Put the Plug Into Pairing Mode
Hold the button 5 seconds until the LED blinks rapidly, then let the app discover the plug over Bluetooth.

Step 3: Enter the Wi-Fi Password
Type the 2.4 GHz password and wait for both channel tiles to appear.

Step 4: Test Each Channel
Rename the two outlets, put each on its own schedule, then toggle them one at a time.

Q: Does it need a hub?
A: No. It joins 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi and works through the Minoston app, Smart Life, Alexa or Google. Both outlets are controlled independently from the same app.
Q: Only one outlet responds.
A: Remove the device from the app and add it back so both channels are re-created. If a channel is dead even at the plug, the relay has failed and the unit needs replacing.
Q: How far can it be from the router?
A: About 300 ft in open air, limited by your Wi-Fi at the outlet. Both outlets share one radio, so a weak signal affects both channels equally.
