Quick Setup & SmartStart Pairing
A Z-Wave hub, and an outlet within 3 ft of it while you pair. Hang the plug vertically so the seal keeps water out. Up to 15A / 1875W. Your hub has to support Z-Wave S2. Anything sold in the last few years does. 1. Open your hub app and start Add Device. Hubitat: Devices > Add Device > Z-Wave. SmartThings: + > Add Device > Z-Wave. 2. Plug it into an outlet near the hub, not the one outside. The status light blinks fast, then stops when it is paired. 3. Check the app for a new plug, then move it outside and run Z-Wave repair.
