Minoston MP42T User Guide & Tech Specs
Outdoor Timer Outlet with Remote Complete Reference
30-SECOND SUMMARY
Quick overview of hardware design, presets, and electrical capability.
The Minoston MP42T is a non-smart photocell timer plug with a wireless remote, designed for reliable, secure control of holiday and landscape lighting. Plugged into any outdoor outlet, it switches 15A general purpose, 1,000W incandescent, 1,000W tungsten and 1/3 HP motor loads. Because there is no app and no network, the timer and the 433 MHz remote are factory-paired and nothing needs an account. A built-in photocell and a program button cover ON, 2, 4, 6, 8 hour and dusk-to-dawn modes, while TYPE 3R rainproof construction and FCC Part 15B confirm outdoor safety and radio compliance. Built for seasonal lighting, it lets you override the schedule from indoors without stepping outside.

Troubleshooting FAQs
Direct solutions to common network, protocol, and pairing questions.
Q: What should I do if the remote control fails to pair with the MP42T?
A: Make sure the battery insulation tab has been removed from the remote. Check that the battery is installed correctly and that the timer outlet is powered on. Follow the pairing instructions in the user manual and keep the remote close to the outlet during pairing. If pairing still fails, replace the battery and try again.
Q: It stopped switching after about five months.
A: Test the outlet and the load first, then re-pair the remote: hold the button on the timer until the LED blinks, then press the remote. A unit that is completely dark after five months has failed and is a warranty case.
Q: How do I pair the remote with the MP42T?
A: Plug in the MP42T and press and hold the ON/OFF button for 3 seconds until the LED indicator flashes slowly. Release the button, then press the ON or OFF button on the remote to complete pairing. Make sure the remote's battery insulation tab has been removed before pairing.
