Physical Installation & Safety
Step 1: Choose the Right Location
Pick a grounded 125 V receptacle with solid 2.4 GHz coverage and enough clearance for the plug to sit flush.
Step 2: Plug Into the Wall Receptacle
Push the plug fully in until it sits flush, away from power strips already running near their limit.
Step 3: Connect the Load
Plug the appliance into the plug's own outlet and keep it within 15A 1875W Resistive or General Purpose, 10A Tungsten or 1/2 HP
Step 4: Verify Power and Pairing
Set the plug up in the Minoston app first, then add it to each ecosystem with the Matter code.

Troubleshooting FAQs
Direct solutions to common network, protocol, and pairing questions.
Q: Alexa cannot find the plug.
A: Matter needs a compatible Echo — 4th generation Echo, Echo Show 10 or later, or eero Pro 6 or newer. Older Echo dots and the Echo Plus have no Matter radio; the Echo Plus is a Zigbee hub.
Q: It paired but shows offline the next day.
A: Check the plug is still on 2.4 GHz, since some mesh routers steer devices to 5 GHz and the plug drops off. Also confirm the controller's hub is powered, local control depends on it.
Q: How far can it be from the controller?
A: About 300 ft in open air, but Matter over Wi-Fi depends on your 2.4 GHz coverage at the outlet. A detached garage or metal shed needs a mesh node or access point closer.
