Official Installation, Pairing & Full Specification Guide
A Z-Wave hub, a dimmable light string, and the plug within 3 ft of it. Dimmable LED up to 150W, incandescent up to 400W.
Your hub has to support Z-Wave S2. Anything sold in the last few years does. Hang it vertically so the seal keeps water out.
1. Open your hub app and start Add Device. Hubitat: Devices > Add Device > Z-Wave. SmartThings: + > Add Device > Z-Wave.
2. Plug the light string in, then press the button 3 times fast. The status light blinks fast, then stops when it is paired.
3. Check the app for a new plug, then rename it. Tap once for on/off, hold to dim.
