A: Any z-wave device can be used as a Z-Wave signal relay, but the premise is "not to use Long Rang to add".
The device that relays the signal needs to be added to the Hub. As long as the device is in the Hub and the device is available, the signal can be relayed.
However, the Z-Wave signal relay has only four layers.
For example, if I control device4 at a long distance, the Z-Wave signal will be: Hub->device1->device2->device3->device4. In addition, when relaying the signal, the device will automatically select the z-wave device with the strongest signal as the repeater.
Please note that the signal relay device selected by some hubs may be affected by the order of joining the z-wave network.
That is to say, if the z-wave relay path has been determined, the z-wave device added later will not be used as a signal repeater.
