04. Common Troubleshooting

Does my hub support Z-Wave Long Range (LR)?

Z-Wave Long Range requires a compatible hub or controller with native 800-series LR support (e.g., Home Assistant with Z-Wave JS, SmartThings Hub v3 with updated dongle, or Hubitat C-8). All Minoston 800 devices seamlessly operate on standard mesh networks when paired with earlier hub versions.

Why is my smart plug flashing amber and not responding?

A slowly blinking amber LED indicates that your device is currently in SmartStart discovery or broadcast pairing mode. Follow the pairing instructions for your specific model in your smart home app to complete setup. Once paired, the LED will return to normal operation.

Why do my LED bulbs flicker when dimmed?

Certain dimmable LED drivers flicker when the dimming output falls below their minimum operating threshold. Check your controller's advanced parameter settings and adjust the Minimum Brightness Level (Parameter 4) upward (typically to 10%–15%) to eliminate flickering.
