30-SECOND SUMMARY
Quick overview of hardware design, presets, and electrical capability.
The Minoston MP21Z is a compact Z-Wave 500 Series smart plug designed for reliable, secure home automation. Operating at 908.42 MHz, it supports a maximum load of 10A/1,250W and features a built-in signal repeater to help extend your Z-Wave network. Troubleshooting FAQs
Direct solutions to common network, protocol, and pairing questions.
Q: Does the MP21Z need a hub?
A: Yes. It is Z-Wave, not Wi-Fi, so it needs a certified controller such as SmartThings, Hubitat, Home Assistant with a Z-Wave stick, Vera or Amazon Alexa. Alexa and Google only reach it through that hub.
Q: It stopped responding and the LED is dark, what now?
A: Press once to wake it, then unplug for 30s and reseat. If still dark, press 2x quickly and hold the 3rd press 10s to reset, then re-include. Persistent failure means replacement.
Q: How to put the device into network configuration mode?
A: Press the Manual/ Program button on the smart plug 3 times quickly. The blue LED will blink quickly.
