Physical Installation & Safety

Step 1: Choose the Right Location
Choose a suitable wall box and make sure the installation area is clear of obstructions and meets the product’s installation requirements.

Step 2: Secure the Switch
Turn off the circuit breaker, verify the power is off, and securely connect the wires according to the wiring diagram. Mount the switch in the wall box.

Step 3: Connect the Load
Connect the load wire to the appropriate terminal. Make sure the connected device is within the switch’s rated load limits.

Step 4: Restore Power and Test
Turn the circuit breaker back on and test the switch manually to confirm it turns the connected device on and off properly.

Q: Is this the Wi-Fi version?
A: No. The MT10N has no radio, it is the hardware-only sibling of the MT10W. For app or Alexa control you need the MT10W. The MT10N is right when Wi-Fi in that room is unreliable.
Q: The switch has no power and the buttons are dark.
A: This switch requires a neutral wire. Check your wall box for a neutral wire before installation. If you’re unsure, consult a qualified electrician.
Q: Can I use it for a light instead of a fan?
A: Yes, up to 960W incandescent. Do not use it for a dimmable LED fixture, a hardware timer switches abruptly and some LED drivers object to that.
